    3Hip Hop (eng. hip-hop) is a youth subculture that appeared in the late 1970s among the African Americans.

    The terms ” rap ” and “hip hop” are often used interchangeably, which leads to erroneous understanding and confuses the reader. The first refers to a musical style, and the second refers to the subculture as a whole.

    There are several versions of the origin of the word ” hip-hop “.

    One of the popular versions is the story about what one served in the U.S. Army friends known DJ, listened to the samples and sang the recitative “hip/hop/hip/hop” (similar to “left, right, left, right”). DJ, hearing this, began to use the term for its rhythmic music that has been picked up by other DJs.

    The very phrase “hip-hop” reflects a certain “jumping” his rhythm, a kind of dance styles, which enable it to be clearly distinguished from the popular style of “Disco”. Continue reading
